visits New England, I\u2019m amazed
at how she odd-shapes multi-colored
blizzards of boisterous windblown leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t mind it at all;
reminds me of just how dependable;
how remarkable Nature is\u2015
Always on time,
always creative and dazzling;
always bold and beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nThe Something Good<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nHe has startled the comatose lethargy
of his sorry and uneventful life
with a thought that reminds him,
against all odds, that he was once
a part of something good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A dim, slim sliver of memory
comes alive in his eyes\u2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was love, and friends,
children and laughter;
the steadiness and wisdom
of the elders\u2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All of it perfect but always marching,
ever older, ever shrinking
and wrinkling capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But this one last time,
his mind will hold on tightly
to the something good, celebrate
a Thanksgiving revisited of precious
memories and images, and hold
in his hands every single smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
